Research background

This project is grounded in early pathogen detection research, including work with bioluminescent reporter phages and time-series plate-reader data.

Context

Illucidate is under active development as part of graduate research at Purdue University. The direction comes from practical assay analysis needs: combining OD, luminescence, and timing signals to improve early detection decision quality.

The broader aim is reproducible, open, and statistically grounded analysis that supports both research workflows and future translational use cases.

Current status

Version status is alpha and core components are being validated. Community collaboration, dataset attribution, and transparent methodology are treated as first-class design requirements.
